About Us
Our Vision
First established in 2019, Early Years Occupational Therapy have always been proud to work as a family centred practice, where we work with each individual child, young person and their family to understand their unique therapy needs and tailor therapy interventions to target agreed goals.
We always strive to provide high quality, evidence based occupational therapy intervention to support our clients to achieve their functional goals and have developed a strong reputation as a leading and trusted early childhood OT service. We are passionate about working collaboratively with all people involved in the child or young person's daily life and learning environments, to ensure skills addressed in therapy appointments are able to be generalised into everyday activities. Families experience individual attention from the very first contact with us and we maintain this high standard throughout our work with them.
We work within the Early Intervention Best Practice Guidelines, which includes acknowledgement that young children and their families get the best outcomes when they receive supports or therapies in their natural environment such as the home, child care, kindergarten or school. This is the primary reason we offer the majority of our services in the community, but do have access to our clinic space where this is the most appropriate, or preferred, location for services to be delivered.
Early Years Occupational Therapy Founder Sara King is a mother of 2 young children herself and as a result understands just how busy family life can be. It is for this reason that we are committed to providing a therapy environment and therapeutic interventions that allow easy transfer across settings and into daily life.
